About Buddy's Place
Buddy's Place was established in a tiny Nolensville, TN living room, in 2011. Buddy invited some awesome Nashville songwriters into his home and asked them to play original music for his friends. He wanted to show support for these artists and help grow their fan base by introducing them to new people, and that he did! These house concerts quickly became incredibly popular with not only the listeners (some even travel from other states), but with the artists as well. They appreciated the relaxed, intimate environment and the opportunity to be up close and personal with their fans. With a little encouragement from a good friend Ellen, and now business partner, he made the decision to expand Buddy's Place into multiple living rooms, to accommodate the growing number people wanting to attend a house concert. This way, EVERYONE can come and share this unique, intimate, music experience.
The year 2020 not only caused some big changes to every day life for us all, but also to Buddy's Place! We were forced to move the show outdoors where our guests could safely distance and still enjoy a night out for live music. Our attendance doubled and our shows were so well attended, that we have officially outgrown the living room. We hold our shows in various locations and venues throughout the year, while maintaining an intimate listening experience where you can hear the stories behind the songs! It has always been a dream of Buddy's to be able to follow his passion for music and now he can do just that!

Who We Are |
Buddy Norris, Owner Who is "Buddy"? Buddy Norris, originally from Macon, GA. I grew up in a big family of music lovers, so I guess you might say that's where my passion for music started! One of my fondest childhood memories was laying on our living room floor right in front of the stereo with my Dad and just listening to his favorite records by some of the country music greats such as Marty Robbins, Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, and Ray Price. I'm talking those were on VINYL people! My love for music has grown with me and it infiltrates most every aspect of my life. After studying fine arts at Georgia Southern University, I had the amazing opportunity to tour the country with the Contemporary Christian Group, Truth. When my touring time ended, I found myself in familiar territory of Franklin, TN. Growing up, family vacations to Nashville were always a huge highlight of many summers, and I never dreamed I would one day be living in "Music City".....but here I am! A dream come true. I have a very busy life in Nashville and has been a volunteer at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum since 2013. I also volunteer with The Ronald McDonald House, Graceworks, Feed the Children, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Franklin TN through his work's community outreach program. I'm thankful for the opportunities of each day and try to make the most of each day and make the best and most positive impact wherever the day leads! Ellen Huddleston, Owner Who is Ellen? I'm Ellen. Ellen Huddleston. I grew up in a small town in Indiana, attended Indiana University where I studied Chemistry. I later attended the University of FL, College of Medicine and obtained a master's degree in physician assistant studies and currently work at WOMEN Obstetrics & Gynecology. While my career choice is important to me, I also have an entrepreneurial spirit. While living in FL, I successfully founded a 501(c)(3) organization, Delivering Dreams, which was a wish granting organization for terminally ill adults or those suffering personal tragedy. The big annual fundraiser was a benefit concert because with my passion for music, I tend to incorporate it into all aspects of my life. I even sing with the praise and worship team at Third Baptist Church. Since landing in Murfreesboro, TN and being so close to Nashville, my love for music has only grown! Once I was introduced to the songwriting world, it quickly became my favorite part of the "music". I love to hear the stories behind the songs from the writers themselves. I feel I am right where I need to be in Nashville, where I like to call heaven on earth! |
